ISS 5 Stata code page
This page offers code that implements some parts of the NBER-ISS 5 template. I can offer no guarantees that the code
works correctly. The hope is that other country teams can offer feedback and we can improve the programs together. That is, an 'open source' model.
Please direct any questions about the programs, corrections, or suggestions for improvement to Kevin at kevin.milligan@ubc.ca.

Update diary
- August 5, 2007: I have updated the diagnostics.do file and the wbar ibar diagnostics spreadsheet.
- August 5, 2007: I have uploaded the data-formatting.xls spreadsheet.
- July 2, 2007: I have updated the diagnostics.do file to print out some interim age-year tables for better diagnosing any problems.
- July 2, 2007: I have now added the .log for diagnostics.do for the case of Canada.
- July 2, 2007: The example spreadsheet is now posted.
- June 25, 2007: I added a new 'diagnostics' do file that compares ibar and wbar for different assumptions.
- May 15, 2007: I have improved the incentives.do file.
There are two major changes. One is that I have improved the peak wealth calculation to make it forward looking rather than backward looking. Second,
the ibar index calculation has been corrected. It was seriously flawed in the previous program.
- January 26, 2007: I have taken a first cut at the index calculations. There is a stata program, a dummy data set, and some documentation.
